We maintain a Fundamentalist position
We are not ashamed of the name "Fundamentalist." We use it proudly
because it means that we stand on the fundamentals of the Christian faith. We
still believe in a literal burning hell, the inspiration of the Bible, the
Second coming of Christ, salvation by grace through faith in the shed blood of
Jesus Christ.
We maintain a separatist position
We do not permit our faculty or students to indulge in drinking, smoking,
dancing, card playing or theater going. We do not fellowship with theological
liberals or New Evangelicals, and as a Christian institution of higher learning
we have no embarrassing entanglements with any convention, council, or group
that would keep the faculty or administration from exposing the apostasy,
heresies, and sins of the day.
We maintain a code of discipline
We believe that a life of effective Christian service is produced by (1)
personal conduct, and (2) personal discipline. Discipline in the Christian life
is training that develops self-control, character, orderliness, and efficiency.
The only time discipline becomes "punishment" is when one breaks the
rules. Breaking the rules will result in demerits, or in more serious cases
dismissal.
We maintain a standard of dress
Young ladies may not wear skirts above the knee or slacks at any time. Young
men may not wear long hair. Hair styles must be short enough that hey do not
cover the ears or touch the back of the neck. We believe that those preparing
for Christian service should adorn themselves in a manner befitting the temple
of God-"...for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are"(1 Cor.
3:17).
We maintain a Baptistic doctrinal emphasis
We approach the scriptures from a dispensational position and oppose the
errors of Calvinism and hyper-dispensationalism. We repudiate the modern day
Charismatic movement with its emphasis on speaking in tongues, prophesies, and
faith healing. The King James Version of the Bible is used exclusively in all
classes and chapel.
We maintain an evangelistic outreach
The MBBC program is designed to instill in the student the spirit of
evangelism and soulwinning through its strong emphasis in the classroom, chapel,
and extension ministries. We still believe in Proverbs 11:30, "The fruit of
the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise."
